Historical ambience in a very nice setting. There is a large natural harbor nearby. The menu is clear, but the food is fresh and tasty. German and local cuisine. The service was tough but warm. We can recommend it.

Very nice little restaurant and café with a pension. We had dinner here and were served very friendly. The food was offered at fair prices and was of very good quality (tomatoes in the salad from our own garden, a lot of homemade food, no ready-made products). We would like to come again. Is also a good alternative to the very high-priced restaurant in the castle hotel.

An old school was transformed into a cozy café with few places. The inner life was decorated to the delight of my mother with many well-known services as a show object. The food was delicious and you could not complain. The staff was friendly, but the preparation took a long time.

Nice to see from the outside. Inside, you do not realize that it used to be an old school. It was modernized, that's just a matter of taste. We had expected more historical flair. The hosts were not for us. The gastronomic Sympatie was probably not present on both sides. That's how it is sometimes. Offer very good, prices are okay. Cake selection was a bit short on this day, but was probably on the rainy day, since you do not expect so much clientele. At the back of the house beautiful and cozy outdoor terrace to linger on sunny days. Everything maintained and clean.

If you are looking for peace in a beautiful environment, here is in good hands! The Old School is a café and a guesthouse that uses the premises of the old village school in Fürstlich Drehna, which has been lovingly restored to meet new requirements. The cafe has a nice ambience and the rooms are spacious and reasonably priced. The care by the family Schenker left nothing to be desired. The small village Fürstlich Drehna even has its own moated castle (Schloss Fürstlich Drehna) and beautiful gardens with a large pond. This castle houses a hotel. It is not even 300 meters to the castle from the Old School. The area around Princely Drehna is a rest and collection point for many hundreds of cranes before their departure to the south. The Old School vis à vis is the information office of the Regional Nature Conservation Union, where you can get detailed information on the flora and fauna of the region. I had four nights in the Old School and would stay there again anytime.

We had a fish plate for two. Excellent simple food. Best place to eat in this town. We tried them all during our stay.
